1. Hemos investigado el valor predictivo de distintos marcadores inflamatorios del lavado broncoalveolar en la evolución de los receptores de trasplante pulmonar.

2. Nuestro servicio ya sido pionero en el diseña de programas audiovisuales de educación en receptores de trasplante pulmonar.

3. En colaboración con el Servicio de Bioingeniería del Instituto de Salud Carlos III hemos desarrollado un proyecto de seguimiento con Telemedicina para el alta precoz de los pacientes con agudización de la EPOC. Dicho proyecto fue merecedor de dos becas FISS ya finalizadas.

4. Nuestro grupo ha participado activamente en el desarrollo de las guías de manejo de las enfermedades pulmonares como el asma, la EPOC y el trasplante pulmonar.

5. La Unidad de enfermedades intersticiales ha participado activamente en diversos ensayos clínicos sobre la utilidad de los fármacos anti-fibróticos.
