Background
In the field of obstetrics, there are childbirth simulation drills so that participants in the simulation can act and perform their work as similarly as possible to a real situation. Currently, the trousers used in childbirth simulations have the problem of not representing a very realistic situation, and moreover there is no physical space in them to hold an element representing a foetus when a delivery is not to be simulated in the expulsive stage; and, having no additional compartments, they cannot represent special situations such as placenta extraction, retained placenta, multiple births, abnormal foetal positions, etc., meaning the simulated situations are very limited.
La invención
The present invention solves the problems existing in the state of the art by means of a trouser device for simulating childbirth and obstetric pathology and physiology.
This is a pair of trousers with a chest bib that can hold either a placenta or a foetus. Leopold manoeuvres can be simulated and performed. Retained placenta can be simulated. The bib's zip allows the foetus to be held in place without falling out, and the foetus can be placed in a transverse position. It can simulate delivery in a preterm twin pregnancy. Pockets on the lateral side of the thighs allow rubber pads to be inserted for practising intramuscular injections
