The main objective of the Technical Support Units is to provide quality technological support to the Institute's researchers in areas essential to biomedical research that, due to their complexity or cost, cannot be tackled by individual groups. In this way, in addition to providing technological support from highly qualified staff and promoting quality research, equipment performance is improved and resources are used more cost-effectively, improving their efficiency.

Although the main objective of these units is to provide an internal service to the Institute's groups, they are also open to collaborations with groups from other institutions, both public and private.
