The Scientific Directorate of the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Puerta de Hierro – Segovia de Arana constitutes the management body responsible for participation in the control and management of the Institution, so that it can ensure that the activities it carries out are in accordance with the mission, vision, values and objectives with which it was founded.
The Institute's Scientific Directorate is made up of the Scientific Director and a Deputy Scientific Director, who will be responsible for the Institute's research and training policy.
Functions
- Draw up and prepare IDIPHISA's annual operational programmes and annual research report.
- Prepare the budgets, statement of accounts and other mandatory reports.
- Manage the research infrastructure acquired by IDIPHISA.
- Desarrollar la política de contratación de personal investigador y técnico de ayuda a la investigación del IDIPHISA que establezca el Consejo Rector.
- Communicate and disseminate IDIPHISA's research activities.
- Informar sobre las convocatorias públicas y privadas de proyectos de investigación y otras actividades relacionadas con la investigación.
- Be the highest representative and scientific spokesperson of IDIPHISA before other entities.
- Facilitate the attraction of external resources.
- Será el responsable de velar por la calidad de la investigación que se realiza en el IDIPHISA, y que esta se realice siguiendo los principios éticos de comportamiento, tanto en cuanto a las actividades de investigación como al respeto de los derechos laborales del personal investigador y técnico de ayuda a la investigación.
- Propose to the Delegated Committee the necessary measures for the proper functioning of IDIPHISA and implement the decisions adopted by the Delegated Committee.
- Also carry out the functions entrusted to it by the Governing Council and the Delegated Committee.
