The Community of Madrid, through the Regional Ministry of Health and SERMAS, supports the promotion of biomedical research via a collaboration agreement signed on 16 June 2017. The purpose of the agreement is joint collaboration for the complete development and coordination of a research activity intensification programme in order to enable healthcare professionals of SERMAS in the Community of Madrid to participate in research tasks across the various active priority research lines of interest to the Community of Madrid.

Based on this, a continuous line of research intensification is established, consisting of the Foundation providing funds to the hospital for the potential recruitment of healthcare professionals to replace others selected through an evaluation process, so that the latter can dedicate a percentage of their clinical time to research tasks.

Grants Summary:

• La cuantía total máxima de esta convocatoria será de 60.000 €. La dotación económica abonada por el IDIPHISA será de 15.000 euros para para cada una de las ayudas concedidas.
• El periodo de disfrute de la ayuda podrá ser de 6 meses (intensificación del 50% de la jornada del investigador).
• The maximum number of grants to be awarded shall be:
  • 2 para investigadores nacidos en 1976 o fecha posterior.
  • 2 para investigadores nacidos antes de 1976.
