Functions
The Governing Council is the highest governing body of the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria del Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro – Segovia Arana, and as such is the body responsible for the Institute's representation, direction and administration.
This body represents all the entities that in some way form part of and make up the Institute, as established in RD 339/2004 and reflected in the collaboration agreement signed by all the Institute's participating entities.
- Supervision, inspection, oversight and guidance of IDIPHISA's work.
- Establishing IDIPHISA's research and development guidelines and strategies.
- Approval of IDIPHISA's Strategic Plan.
- Supervision of the development projects described in IDIPHISA's Strategic Plan and their results.
- Review and approval of IDIPHISA's Quality Plan.
- Evaluation and approval of the annual budgets drawn up for carrying out IDIPHISA's activities.
- Evaluation and approval of the relevant reports, inventory, financial balance and annual accounts of IDIPHISA.
- Review, evaluation and, where appropriate, modification of the functioning of IDIPHISA's management system, activities and results.
- Approval of the Institute's internal regulations, as well as the standard operating procedures for all areas making up IDIPHISA.
- Proposal and approval of the requirements and conditions for incorporating new researchers and research groups into IDIPHISA.
- Evaluation of the suitability of new members joining IDIPHISA, whether individual researchers or research groups.
- Evaluation and approval of the proposal on the distribution of resources obtained according to IDIPHISA's development needs.
- Definition of accreditation policies and the use of shared technology platforms based on the corresponding integration agreements.
- Establishment of training and shared knowledge policies within IDIPHISA.
- Evaluation and approval of the internal and external communication policies to be developed at IDIPHISA.
- Appointment of IDIPHISA's legal representative.
- Appointment and removal of IDIPHISA's Scientific Director.
- Nombramiento y cese del Secretario General del IDIPHISA.
- Appointment and removal of members of IDIPHISA's External Scientific Committee.
