The group is led by a researcher named Juan Rodés (whose contract ended in February 2018); over the past three years, he has combined his work as head of the Molecular Pathology Laboratory in the Department of Anatomical Pathology with his research activities.

In close collaboration with the Immunological and Lymphoproliferative Research Group over the past year, a line of research of great interest has been initiated. Co-principal investigator of the project awarded by the FIS in the 2017 Strategic Action for Health call entitled "The role of variability in the immune response of NK cells to the Epstein Barr virus (VEB) in lymphoproliferative syndromes".

Dr Carmen Bellas, Emeritus Professor at the UAM Faculty of Medicine, acts as a "senior" consultant and actively participates in the research projects. Adrian Santos, laboratory assistant (Biology graduate) funded by the Youth Guarantee Plan, is responsible for carrying out the laboratory experiments for the development of the project.
