A clinical-basic group dedicated to research into cerebrovascular disease. We carry out multicentre studies and clinical trials on the treatment of the acute phase of ischaemic and haemorrhagic stroke. We have gained experience in research into arterial recanalisation strategies, neuroprotection and neurorepair within a Stroke Unit. As well as in the study of the cerebrovascular component of Alzheimer's disease (in animal models and clinical observational studies). Another line of research is optimising the aetiological diagnosis and secondary prevention of ischaemic stroke.
