<\/a><\/a><\/em>Biosketch Dr. Provencio<\/a><\/span><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Provencio is Head of the Medical Oncology Service at the Puerta de Hierro University Hospital<\/strong> y Professor of Medical Oncology at the Autonomous University of Madrid<\/strong>. He has extensive research activity with more than 200 studies focused primarily on lung cancer and lymphoma. He has more than 500 publications; 71 books\/book chapters, 585 conference presentations, and 440 invited lectures and presentations. He has been cited more than 31,000 times; has an h-index of 72 and an i10 index of 290. As a Full Professor of Medicine, he has recognized 5 decades of research, 2 quinquennia of teaching, and has supervised 22 doctoral theses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also President of the Spanish Group of Lung Cancer (GECP)<\/a>, Corresponding Academician of the Royal National Academy of Medicine, President of Spanish Group of Onco-Lymphatic Tumors (GOTEL)<\/a> and Scientific Director of the Puerta de Hierro Institute of Biomedical Research (IDIPHISA)<\/strong> which houses 44 research groups within its 5 research areas and 380 researchers who have received public funding for 77 R&D projects in competitive calls in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
